Terrace: The hostel's terrace was an absolute gem! It was like stepping into a peaceful oasis, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I spent many evenings there, sipping on a cold drink and enjoying the tranquility. It was the perfect place to unwind after a long day of exploring.
Check-out experience.

The hostel offers two types of delicious breakfast, Japanese and Western. The staff is friendly and helpful. Refreshing shower gel and shampoo are provided, and towels are renewed daily if needed.
Felt like treated like royalty, no complaints at all.

The room was beautifully decorated and cozy, with comfortable bedding and plenty of pillows and blankets. The bathroom and shower were spacious and clean, providing a refreshing experience. Additionally, the owner was extremely helpful and provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and attractions in the area. The hotel's location was also ideal, within easy walking distance of the port, train station, and airport bus.
While the room was cozy, it was slightly smaller than depicted in the pictures, which may be a bit of a challenge for guests with large luggage. The soundproofing in the hotel was also lacking, but this seems to be a common issue in hotels across Japan.

sunny day hostel was a delightful surprise! the design was impressive, staff were super nice and breakfast was amazing. the location was convenient for my day trips to naoshima and teshima, with a short walk to the ferry. the owner, go-san, was exceptional and his cooking was top-notch.
Beds should have been pre-set up.

The rooms at Sunny Day Hostel were so comfy with the air conditioning, I felt like I was in my own little cozy oasis. I loved having free WiFi in my room, it made it so easy to stay connected and share all my karaoke videos with friends. Having a private bathroom was such a relief, no need to wait in line or worry about sharing with other guests. They even provided a desk in the room, perfect for when I needed to catch up on work or plan my next casino adventure. The kettle in the room was a nice touch, I could make a cup of tea before bed and unwind after a fun-filled day.
Personally, I wish the rooms had a tumble dryer. It would have been convenient to dry my clothes after getting caught in the rain.

The location of the hostel is ideal, with easy access to the ferry station and train. Guests appreciate the proximity to various restaurants in the area. the hostel offers a cozy and beautiful interior, with well-maintained amenities and comfortable beds. The staff, particularly the host, are friendly and helpful, providing excellent service. Guests have praised the breakfast, which is beautifully prepared and delicious.
The hostel lacks a common space and kitchen, which may be inconvenient for longer stays or those who prefer to prepare their own meals.

We enjoyed the comfortable and spacious rooms, perfect for a romantic escape. The towels were replaced daily with no additional charge, which was a nice touch. The location was key, just a few minutes' walk from the main train stations and the ferry terminal. This made it convenient for exploring the area and catching our transportation easily.
We were disappointed by the lack of a social area in the hotel. While there was a rooftop space, it was too cold in winter to enjoy.

Christmas at this hostel was amazing! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast they provided was absolutely delicious. The design of the hostel was unique and cool, with spacious rooms and a beautiful wooden bathtub in the outdoor bathroom. The location was perfect, not far from the train station and within walking distance to many attractions. Plus, the hostel had a balcony that I can imagine would be amazing in warmer weather.
While the room was slightly smaller than I expected, it was still cozy and livable. However, if you have big luggage, it may be a bit troublesome.
